Account Codes

How do I get here? Customers Menu ► Search ► Select Account ► Products ► Account Codes
Purpose

This screen is meant to store long distance account codes for the account. These are not tied to a particular product inside TBS, however each Account Code has a unique Code and Description. Account Codes typically appear within the CDR file and is then associated with a Long Distance ANI.

During CDR rating/billing, if Account Codes are present in the call records AND setup on this tab, the invoice will use the Display Type (Show Code, Show Description, Show Both) along with the corresponding code / description on the invoice if the Account Code Summary invoice report is turned on.

Account Codes Grid - Account Codes are treated like products in that if products must be added through an Order, so must an Account Code. This tab will be available within both the Customer Information module and the Order Processing module.

Field Description Notes
Code Index Index number for grouped account codes  
Description

Description/Name for the Account Code. Typically a Department Name or an Employee name.

Used in conjunction with the Display Type option for use on the invoice.

 
Location Code List of Locations that the Account Code can be tied to.  
Account Code Unique Account Code - should match what will be passed in through the call record for billing  
Display Type

Determines how the Account Code usage will be displayed on the invoice. Options include:

  • Print Account Code and Name - prints both account code and description
  • Print Account Code Only - prints only the account code
  • Print Name Only - prints only the account code description
 
Disco Date Informational only. Used for tracking purposes but does not impact billing.
